Sadie G. Mays provides interdisciplinary Therapy Services to meet the needs of the community. We provide comprehensive Rehabilitation Therapy Services six days per week for short term and long term care.
Rehabilitation services are provided for the following:
Diagnosis:
- Arthritis - Osteo and Rheumatoid
- Orthopedic - Replacements and Repairs
- Neurological - Vascular and Traumatic
- Amputee - Wound Care
- Chronic and Pulmonary Diseases
- Pain Management
- Contracture Management
- Hip fracture, CVA
Physical Therapy:
- Gait Training and Analysis
- Therapeutic exercises to target specific muscle dysfunction
- Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation programs
- Treatment to increase, restore and/or maintain mobility, coordination, endurance, work capacity and relaxation
- Physical agent modalities to promote healing and relieve pain thereby increasing function
Occupational Therapy:
- Evaluation of cognitive neuromuscular functions
- Splinting needs, adaptive devices, positional
- Activity of daily living programs
- Therapeutic exercise programs that promote specific functional tasks
Speech Therapy:
- Receptive and/or expressive aphasia programs
- Language and/or cognitive disorders secondary neurological diagnosis/dysfunction
- Oral motor dysfunction resulting in dysarthria and/or apraxia, dysphasia and/or swallowing difficulties
- Electrical stimulation for dysphasia
- Communications disorders resulting from degenerative neuro-muscular disease
- Articulation, voice disorders and sensorimotor deficits
Discharge Planning/Home Evaluations are provided with all services.
