Due to state restrictions regarding COVID-19, all group activities and communal dining activities have been suspended at Sadie G. Mays until further notice. However, residents are encouraged to participate in video chats, in-room activities with staff and outdoor visits with family. Please see “Outdoor Visitation Update” and “Video Chat with Your Loved One” notices for details. We thank you for your patience as we navigate this challenging time and do our best to keep our residents safely engaged and connected.
Sadie G. Mays offers a full range of activities to keep residents engaged –- physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.
We know that staying as active as possible will help our residents to maintain a positive outlook. We design our activities to meet the needs and interests of our residents. Our skilled social workers help to build relationships among residents, families, and staff members. These professionals provide counseling and discharge planning services, as needed. Residents and their families are encouraged to join the Resident’s Council and Family Council, respectively. These organizations meet regularly and provide valuable input to our administration.
